Stepmania (aka SM) is an open source PC based free dance and rhythm game for Windows, Mac, and Linux featuring 3D graphics, dance pad support, and a step editor. The start of Stepmania was to simulate Konami's Dance Dance Revolution game on a PC. SMMix was thought up on a SM forum over a year ago by a member with the screen name "Something". His thought was to have a totally free downloadable mix for Stepmania. For five months the thought was thrown around by many members and it was a slow process due to being only worked on through a single post. From there I picked up the project and became partners with the two founding members for the project and created the SMMIX web site. When the web site started we had only six songs in our mix; to date we now have 100+ songs. Unfortunately the project and support slowed and the project is currently unsupported.
